My Story
I was raised in a family who believe in natural, healthy living, with a focus on Ayurveda and Yoga. We used, and still use natural remedies to tackle small ailments, like flu and digestive issues. I have found that these simple Ayurvedic remedies worked quickly and effectively restoring health and balance to me.
My grandma always said that prevention is better than cure and following simple Ayurvedic principles can prevent imbalances in your body thus preventing illness and disease. It’s with that in mind, I help my clients incorporate Ayurveda into their lives. It is a science which is very simple and practical to apply and with its implementation you will be able to see great results to your physical, mental, and emotional health.
I’ve always had a deep interest in science and human behaviour ever since I was in secondary school. This led me to study Optometry at City University in London, England, where I qualified as an Optometrist in 2003. In my first few years on the job, I realised that in the UK there was a culture where people weren’t given adequate time by their medical professional, didn’t know or understand what they were putting into their body and in some cases hadn’t even been advised what was going on in their body. It felt that they were just going through life totally unaware of their mind, body or emotions. It’s this sense of disempowerment, that I felt needed to change.
I want to encourage everyone to be self-empowered with knowledge of health, to make decisions which are right for them, so they can live their best life, a healthy life, that enables them to fulfil their dreams.
While I still practiced Optometry, I wanted to understand what I could do to inspire others further to be more proactive about their health. I looked at my life and my health and saw what helped me. It was Ayurveda. I then studied for a degree in Ayurveda and in addition to that I was trained and mentored by some amazing Ayurvedic experts around the globe to understand how I can best help clients. I have been trained to read the pulse to diagnose imbalances in the body and have been working with Ayurvedic clients for over 10 years.
